Learning objectives

Upon successful completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Focus upon the scope of speech pathology practice in 0-5 year education and care settings, however, some of the principles could be applied to school-based settings (5+ years)
  • Examine the theoretical basis of language and literacy development as related to a public health approach, progressive universalism and Australian early learning and care frameworks
  • Provide insight into a collaborative work integrated learning approach between Speech Pathology and Early Childhood Education as a way of working with, alongside and through others to enhance children's outcomes;
  • Explore the role of authentic, bi-directional professional relationships and coaching in building capacity and enhancing practice
  • Describe the value of video as a tool in reflective practice and building a shared professional language.

GoodStart Early Learning: National Manager, Speech Pathology

Tiffany is passionate about access and meaningful participation for all children in high quality early childhood intervention and education services. In line with current industry research, Tiffany works as the National Manager - Speech Pathology in the social inclusion team at Goodstart Early Learning; always striving to enhance positive lifelong outcomes for all children, especially those experiencing vulnerability, adversity or disadvantage. She works with all necessary key stakeholders at national and local levels via universal and targeted approaches to build communication and literacy rich environments within centres. Tiffany has worked across community health, rehabilitation, education & private practice settings. She has also been a guest lecturer, tutor and clinical educator in University undergraduate and postgraduate speech pathology programs. Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Social Science and a Masters of Speech Pathology.
