This Town Hall was recorded on 26 June 2025 as an opportunity for Speech Pathology Australia members to hear an overview of the upcoming NDIS pricing changes and what they may mean for your work and participants, as well as the Association's advocacy efforts and members can get involved. 

The new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) pricing arrangements have taken effect, including a 50% reduction to the provider travel rate and a continued freeze on therapy pricing for speech pathology. These changes have significant implications for service delivery and raise important questions about workforce sustainability and access to care.

Speech Pathology Australia has consistently advocated for improved pricing arrangements that reflect the true cost of service delivery. In response to the recently announced pricing decisions, we are calling for the changes to be scrapped and replaced with a fairer, more sustainable approach developed in genuine consultation with the sector.
